  1. Yep, that's what anybody who doesn't have at least two grandparents born in
  2. Wayne County, Kentucky, USA, is called around here.

  4. There doesn't seem to be any problem with sending computer disks of
  5. non-commercial material around the world.

  7. If you have some strange unit of measure, I can modify the program to use it.
  8. Hint: for distance, just select P=pace and define your whatzit in US feet.

  10. The instruments are another matter.  At no extra cost, I can obtain a Silva
  11. Ranger type 15 compass with the needle balanced for any area of the known
  12. earth.  Simply tell me where you plan to use it.  The default is Northern,
  13. which is generally north of Mexico City, the Mediterranean Sea, Himalayas,
  14. Shanghai, and Hawaii.

  16. The surveyors' tape measures are available in metric.

  18. My wholesaler can handle all the customs (Misc Forestry Equip), Certificate of
  19. Origin (USA, Sweden, Finland, Japan), international freight (FOB Jackson,
  20. Mississippi), etc.  I just pass on my international orders to her.  (She really
  21. enjoys all those strange foreign spellings over the telephone, too!)

  23. The problem is shipping!  The shipping almost costs more than the instruments.
  24. For example, a recent package to Australia incurred nearly $US40 shipping.  And
  25. that only got it as far as the Sydney Airport.  If you balk at high shipping
  26. costs, and find a supplier in your own country, then ask him if he would like
  27. to handle my local (to him) sales.

  29. Or I can remove the factory packaging to make the shipment used tools, and send
  30. them in my personal name.  Then estimated international shipping is $US32 by
  31. air and $US11 by surface.

  33. Oh, please don't spend shipping on the flagging.  A roll weighs almost a pound, and it
  34. is worth only $US2.  Use rags.

  36. Please make payment in $US dollars, preferably by VISA or Master Charge, or
  37. international money order.  My backwoods bank out here has probably never seen
  38. a draft cheque from your country before.  International checks must have a US
  39. interbank number at the bottom of the check or add $15 processing surcharge.
  40. There is a 5% processing surcharge on credit cards.
